Vessell’s Fitness
Complex
Success Story Of:
Vicki Harris
Goal Attained: Weight loss
of 120 pounds
Meet Vicki Harris, a 47-year-old
grandmother. Vicki works fulltime at Royal Canine and is an
active member of Church of Christ. It has been nearly 2 years
since Vicki began making drastic changes to her lifestyle. She
knew she had health concerns with high blood pressure but when she
passed-out from what was thought to be a stroke, she decided it was
time to take charge of her health.
Vicki began by joining Weight Watchers, which
met weekly for diet advice and encouragement. One thing they
promote is regular exercise. Vicki had never been on a consistent
exercise program but was invited by her friend Evelyn Waite to try
Aquacize. It was a new Vessell’s Fitness program led by Jenny
Adams at Zeno’s pool. The thing she enjoyed about this class “is
that regardless of your physical condition, you can modify the
intensity to suit your ability.” She has faithfully continued her
water class 3x per week and added one day a week of walking.
Vicki celebrated this month (May 2006)
attaining her original goal....to lose 120 pounds! To keep her
accountable, she will soon become the receptionist for her Weight
Watchers’ program. Vicki says that her greatest joy is spending
active time playing with the grandkids. Oh, and by the way, she
no longer needs blood pressure medicine. Now that is a testimony
for proper diet and exercise.
Congratulations!
